Me, I never got along with dogs when I was a kid. The year I was 23, though, I felt good. When my aunt's dog walked off the property and got lost, I went canvassing her neighborhood to ask if anybody seen him. Came up to this one house where a big dog and a little dog jumped up on the lawn and started screaming at me. I just told them it’s all right, everything’s all right. I stayed facing the street for a few moments while I took some notes on where I’d been so far and who I already spoke to. Them dogs already stopped barking and lay back down by time I turned around to cross that lawn.
